Forbidden Fruit & Caramelized Onion Flatbread
Ingredients
1 lb frozen pizza dough, defrosted at room temp.
2 yellow onions, sliced
1/4 tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Butter
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 lb Gorgonzola cheese
1 jar Forbidden Fruit Jam
2oz Arugula
Directions:
Caramelize Onions
Heat butter and oil in large saute pan over medium heat.
Add sliced onions & salt. Stir to combine and coat onions in butter & oil mix. Cook until onions are transparent.
Turn heat down to low. Continue to cook onions, stirring often until very soft and browned throughout.
Assemble
Heat oven to 425℉
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil. Stretch dough out thin over the pan.
Spread the whole jar of Forbidden Fruit evenly on the dough.
Add caramelized onions & crumbled gorgonzola evenly over the dough.
Cook for 20 minutes or until the crust is just golden.
Remove from the oven and immediately add arugula.
