Forbidden Fruit & Caramelized Onion Flatbread


Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen pizza dough, defrosted at room temp.

  • 2 yellow onions, sliced

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 2 Tbsp Butter

  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Directions:

Caramelize Onions

  1. Heat butter and oil in large saute pan over medium heat.

  2. Add sliced onions & salt. Stir to combine and coat onions in butter & oil mix. Cook until onions are transparent.

  3. Turn heat down to low. Continue to cook onions, stirring often until very soft and browned throughout.

Assemble

  1. Heat oven to 425℉

  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil. Stretch dough out thin over the pan.

  3. Spread the whole jar of Forbidden Fruit evenly on the dough.

  4. Add caramelized onions & crumbled gorgonzola evenly over the dough.

  5. Cook for 20 minutes or until the crust is just golden.

  6. Remove from the oven and immediately add arugula.
